Marshmallow Fun

Finally our fire pit is in commission again. We grilled steaks on the BBQ, then roasted marshmallows and made s'mores for dessert. It was a great way to end the day!

Easter

Gavin and Dylan Easter morning. (I couldn't get one with Ashlyn in there. She was being a stinker!)

Ashlyn was being so cute for these pictures.

Dylan and Gaving before their egg hunt. (I totally have these pictures backwards.)

Ashlyn and Gavin at the church egg hunt. (I don't know why this is sideways...they weren't saved on the computer that way...???)

Kylee and her kids, my parents, and Dianna came over Friday before Easter for dinner and egg dying. It was fun to get together for a yearly tradition.

Carson was posing with his eyes closed...boys...they are so silly!

Our trip to Utah

Dylan and Gavin in the Dinosaur Museum searching for Dino fossils.

Cohen...what a cutie!

Dylan and Cohen "portending" to throw arrows at the dinosaurs.

Us at the museum.

Us about to be eaten by a HUGE shark!

Gav and Dylan playing in the sand and water at the Dino museum. (I think this was their favorite.)

Cohen, Gavin, and Dylan standing by an animation movie set.

Gavin and Dylan at BYU campus. Do you see the bell tower behind them? It plays beautiful music every hour.

Ashlyn and Myka at Jump on it! They loved the trampolines.

Dylan and Gavin getting some energy out on the tramp.

We went to Utah to visit my niece Jullian and her family. We stayed with them for a week. We also got to visit several of Brennen's Uncle's, Aunt's, and cousin's. Many of them Bren hasn't seen for a really long time, and some I've never met before. So that was fun to get to know them a bit and catch up on the past few years. We got to see Bren's sister Emily too!
Part of the reason for going to Utah, when we did, was to go to General Conference. We (Brennen and I) went to the Sunday morning session. Jullian was so wonderful to baby sit the kids for us. It was a wonderful experience to feel the sweet spirit in the conference center. Just to be in the same room as our prophet, his counselors and the leaders of our church. It really touched my heart, and made me so grateful for my testimony of a living prophet today. It makes me almost cry now thinking about the peaceful feeling I had that day, and the gratitude I feel to my heavenly father for all the blessings in my life.
We had a really good time, and I can hardly wait to get back to visit again!

St. Patricks Day

A very green dinner! Pesto pasta, "green" orange rolls, Salad, and cucumbers. It was good. The kids thought it was really cool to have everything green.

Dylan wearing the st. patties day hat.

The leprechaun left 10 clues throughout the house leading them to a treasure full of treats, and fun little toys.

We also woke up the green milk and green toilet water. The leprechaun likes to play tricks on us.

This is actually a really gross pic. Sorry! ;) And no, that is not a turd in the toilet. It is just the food coloring that settled to the bottom of the toilet.

I get a ton of ideas for holidays off of www.familyfun.com. It's a really cool website full of free coloring printouts, recipes, craft ideas, all sorts. You should check it out. You can even sign up for them to email you. They don't send you tons of email. They just send out a email usually before holidays.

This is one of our favorite places to go . Chambers Elementary school. How cool is this play ground! It was a fun night together as a family. These times are so special. The kids are growing so fast. I feel like we need to enjoy every second we have with them before they are older and off doing older kid things. I love being a mom!!!

One more project done and several more to go.
I've been wanting to paint the brick on this fireplace for awhile. As well as spray paint the fireplace black. It was black already but had a few rust spots. It really needed a fresh coat of paint. It looks almost new now.
The brick was really ugly, so I'm very pleased with the new look. Paint is the best! It can make such a big change to something with little cost involved. I love that!

These two spend a good portion of their day brushing their teeth. If Ashlyn is missing, I know just where to find her...in the bathroom. I wish this obsession would rub off on Dylan. He brushes twice a day, but complains about doing it. I'm sure the obsession won't last long. At least, for now, they will have shiny teeth without a fight!
