A day at the Zoo

Ashlyn loves her sweets! Who doesn't though...right?

The monkey's are my favorite. I think they are so interesting, and cute!

Emily and Brian checking out the monkeys.

The tiger actually was out that day. It was a miracle! It's usually hiding in the bushes no where to be found. We scored. I think the tiger is really cool too.

The Elephants always make me feel bad for them. It's just not enough room for such a large animal, I think. I'm sure the zoo people know more about what is good for the elephants than me, but I still feel sad for them. Hopefully they are loving life more than it looks.

Dylan and Gavin enjoying the day. It must have been a good day to get both boys smiling and standing by each other at the same time. :)

We are listing to the elephant talk. It was interesting the first time we say the show, but not so much the 100Th time. We were with Brennen's family, so we were listening for them. Life is not all about us right?

Memorial Weekend Camping Trip

Brennen took the boys fishing, and they actually caught one! Dylan is so proud!

Rope swing

Brennen and Gavin at the top of Mosiah's Meadow tower. It's actually really high up there.

Ashlyn loooves swings. She could stay in one all day if we let her.

Gavin is our brave boy. This swing is tied between two trees. The ropes are really long, so you can get a lot of air. Gavin was going soooo hi! We got it on video, but my camera doesn't capture that part of the fun.

Cheese ball!

Ashlyn loves Faith. I don't know if she realizes she's a girl with long hair she can play with (Ash has an obsession with hair for those of you who don't know) or if she just likes her because she is nice to her. They were cute!

Hanging out at the camp fire. Always a favorite of mine.

The boys could not keep away from the fire. I'm sure we said "stop playing with the fire" about a 100 times. They did get this fire started for us though. Teri lit it with matches, but the boys got it going by collecting lots of sticks and blowing on it. Good job guys!

Gavin thought he was hot stuff climbing on this hill of dirt and stumps. What a cutie!
Us and some of our friends went to Zion's Camp this weekend. We had a really good time getting down and dirty in the wilderness. We all tented it, and enjoyed every minute of it, except the night time where no one really got any sleep. Two of us families had babies that didn't really sleep much. Besides that, we had a beautiful weekend in the 70's. Perfect weather for time away with our family and friends. Thanks guys for a great weekend!

Baseball Game

Up to bat...

and he hits it!!!

Warming-up before the game.

All ready to play ball.

Ready for a catch.

Dylan is doing really well with baseball. He's had 3 games now. It's really fun to watch Dylan play baseball. This age is so cute! It's ALL fun and games.

Cheeeese!

This is the face we get when we say "cheese". Isn't that the best cheese face ever? I think so.

Skipping School

We took a day off from school and our other labors, and headed up to Seattle for a fun day of learning about the weather, and an awesome baseball game with our friends (even though we lost...poor Mariners).

The Mariner Moose was Gavin's favorite thing about the whole day.

Indoor slide

Dylan made this "slide" several days ago, out of our plastic table we got at Costco. I haven't had the heart to take it down. It's taking up a whole lot of space, but the kids have had so much fun with it. I've actually taken a few rides down it myself, and had fun too! Kids can be so creative.
