2009 Halloween Party

My friends, Teri and Dacia and I threw a Halloween Party. We had a really good time with games, food, and visiting. Good Times!!!

Down Stairs Fireplace

Aubrey, these pics are for you...

Flower Mobile

I saw a picture in the Pottery Barn catalogue of a Mobile like this. I figured I could at least try to make one like it, for way more than half the price. So I did, and it's not exactly the same, but I really like it anyway. I just found a grape vine wreath at Jo Ann's and found some flowers at the dollar store, and I think a few flowers at Jo Ann's as well. Got some hot glue and went at it. I used ribbon from Jo Ann's and hung it up by a hook in the ceiling.
(I think I can take down the extra blanket in the window used for blocking the summer sunrise. Now it's winter, it can come down...thank goodness!)

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch with Gavin's pre-school class. We had a great time, and good weather too...well, atleast no rain anyway;-)

Clock Wall

My niece Jullian has an awesome clock wall in her house, and it inspired me to start one of my own. I LOVE my clock wall. It has been fun searching for a really good deal on a clock that I love, and that I would like to add to my collection. The middle clock is the one I started with. I found it in Utah for $30 and stuffed it into one of my suitcases. I wish I had a picture of that! The rest of the clocks I bought for under $15 at TJ Max, Ross, or Tuesday Morning. I have been adding to it for about 6 mo. now, and think it's turning out pretty cool.

Fall Craft

I promised myself I would pick a fall craft to do this year to add to my fall decor. I had an old bench with this fabric on it. I reupholstered the bench and had the old fabric and didn't know what to do with. I had seen on a blog how to make these pumpkins. ( www.theidearoom.blogspot.com ) I thought they were so cute, and figured I could make them with the left over fabric from the bench. I didn't have quite as much fabric as I would have liked, so they aren't as round as they should be. I think they are still cute! I love buttons, so I added them to my pumpkins. You should try it too! It's really simple.

Point Defience Zoo

I figured since it was a pretty nice day for October, we should get one last day in at the Zoo before the weather turned ugly. As soon as Dylan got out of school we headed there. It was really fun! We got there just as the Zoo was closing. I didn't realize they had changed the hours to close at 4pm already. We snuck in just in time before the gates closed. I took the kids to where all the toys are, and they played there for about a 45 min before they kicked us out. (there were quite a lot of people there still with us)
We were headed home and Gavin said "we forgot to go to the zoo Mom". I guess he didn't realize that we had gone to the Zoo, we just didn't see any animals. He makes me laugh!
